You are invited to join the McTeggart Irish Dancers for an Open House and Free Class in Sean Nós & Sets.
Taught by Allison Duvall, TCRG, this class teaches old-style Irish percussive and social dancing to adult learners in an encouraging and relaxed environment. Classes are on Sunday nights, 5:30-6:30pm, and the first class of each month is also a free class and open house for prospective students. We hope you join us!
In January, we'll focus on sean nós reels, February on sean nós jigs, and March on old-style hornpipes (no class March 17). You'll learn about Irish music and dance expression while developing your own musicality and style, working both on your own dancing and with a partner.
We'd love to share our sean nós program with you, a new addition to our studio offerings after more than 10 years of success in our adult Irish step and ceili dance program and 22 years in our children's dance program.
See you on the dance floor!
What to wear: Wear comfortable clothes for movement, and hard-soled shoes for dancing. Tap shoes are suitable, as are Clogging Shoes and other similar styles.
